"The Village Kids" program
Child exploitation exists. Support a child, and avoid child labor!
Since 2002, in each village where ABChildren works "The Village Kids" program started.
At the beginning "The Village Kids" was a program to support the children living with their own family. During these 4 years ABChildren Charity onlus focused on the children needs while living at home and concentrated on the sponsorship for the school education, because if a child go to school, doesn't work!
Now "The VIllage Kids" is a scholarship program that begins with the first school year because education starts with the childhood.
To each child who enters "The Village Kids" program, ABChildren offers free school education and material without difference or discrimination. In particular cases ABChildren offer medical cures too.
There are many children helped with "The Village Kids" program, however, we are receiving daily admission requests. Often we are not able to satisfy all the demand because of lack of funds coming by the sponsorship, which is the only way for ABChildren Charity onlus to maintain this program.
The amounts received from the sponsorship of "The Village Kids" are not given to the family or to the children, but are directly managed by the ABChildren Charity onlus direction who have close relationship with the different schools. In India, in May, when the school admissions is open, the children are registered at school by the ABChildren direction that provides also the school uniform, the bag and what is necessary for study for one year.
The idea of this sponsorship program came soon after an accurate screening of the villages, it has been noticed that "The VIllage Kids" program can ensure to the children a brigther future, allowing them to live in their home with the family.
